The project partners would like to thank all those who, with their lively participation, contributed to the success of the Medical Mockup Modelling (MMM) project’s closing meeting – both in person and remotely.

The meeting of 20 September, held in Lugano, represented the closing event of the MMM project, during which the research results achieved and the platforms developed within the programme activities were presented. An event that saw the other partners of the project financed by the INTERREG V-A Italy-Switzerland 2014-2020 Cooperation Programme at our side – on the Italian side: MTM s.r.l., HumanFactor & Innovation s.r.l. (HFI) and the National Research Council (CNR) of Reggio Calabria; on the Swiss side: Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI), Algo4U Sagl and CE Advice Sagl.

But that’s not all: the event was also attended by representatives of the Regione Lombardia, which in the project had the role of Managing Authority of the Italy-Switzerland Cooperation Programme; Techinnova, as project leader, considered their presence and participation in the meeting to be essential, during which it became clear how increasingly necessary collaboration between the sector’s operators is in order to achieve important goals in the Med-Tech sphere.

During this – albeit brief – ‘retreat’, we once again had confirmation of the fact that our team possesses an extra gear to face the tough game played in the medical-health field, because it is full of talented, valid, creative and serious personalities. As proof of this, during the event it was possible to test the innovative MED3D product, the implemented software platform that uses Virtual Reality not only for medical training and education, but also for surgical simulations.

To all participants, therefore, a special thanks is owed for sharing with us the efforts, goals and achievement of the project activities. In this sense, it was an afternoon not only of intense activity and involvement, but also of discussion between all participants, as well as a rewarding exchange of ideas from a professional point of view.

With the certainty of maintaining a constant and fruitful collaborative relationship with each member of the team, we look forward to a future meeting, in the hope that those who were not able to be present in Lugano will also be able to attend.

In renewing the heartfelt thanks of the project partners, we wish everyone good work.
